The Executive Committee of UNITEHERE! International endorsed Barack Obama for President on January 9, 2008.

 

 

Historic Contract at Pebble Beach Lodge

 

Local 483 members at the Pebble Beach Lodge overwhelmingly approved a new contract on July 12, 2007, which raises non-tipped hourly wages at least $4 over the contract's 5-year term. In addition to the wage increases, the largest in Local 483 history, the contract provides job and union contract protection in the event the hotel is sold, as well as matching the other union contract standards for health insurance, pension, and other benefits.

 

 

CSUMB Cafeteria Workers Choose Local 483!

 

Our newest members are the 40 cafeteria workers at California State University Monterey Bay. These workers were organized by Local 483 members under the card check process. The workers ratified a 3-year contract agreement with Sodexho on May 9, 2007.
